The Convert-MsolDomainToFederated, New-MsolFederatedDomain or Update-MsolFederatedDomain cmdlets automatically create the O365 relying party (RP) trust in your on-premises AD FS and in your O365 claims provider!

So for example if you want to use Ping Identity instead of ADFS, you should follow vendor documentation to perform the same settings but manually, eg. http://documentation.pingidentity.com/display/PFS/Create+a+Federated+Domain#CreateaFederatedDomain-pID0E0GH0HA
