请帮助。我是appliation development的新手，我需要开发一个appliation / form来搜索和更新数据库，如果找不到正在搜索的内容。让我解释一下如何，

Please help. Im novice in appliation development, i need to develop an appliation/form that search and update the database if what is being searched for is not found. let me explain it how,

There are 6 columns in a table, tracking no,enterprise name,agentcode,recieved date,form code,workflow status. form code is everytime missing, so i need to search by tracking no,type the number in the textbox, then press the search button and be displayed with all the information on that tracking number, when the formcode field is empty, i need to select it from the dropdown list that will be lookedup with the formcode table, then press the update button, then the updated information should be saved to the database.
