I am developing a Software as a Service (SaaS) application using the newer Windows.Services.Store licensing API.

I do not fully understand how the Trial Licensing works, or if I do, I am seeing unexpected behaviour from the Store...

I have configured my application as a Free product with a 7-day Time Limited Trial.

The application is initially intended to be a Full Feature trial, which requires the purchase of a durable time-limited "SaaS" license once the trial period has expired.  I have store Add-ons defined to acquire such SaaS licenses which are purchased In-App, and this works very well.

My issue is that when a new user acquires the App in the Store, that user does not appear to be issued a Trial license.  Instead it appears that they are given a Full license, which my App ignores because it relies on those Add-On licenses.

I would like to understand why the Store awards a Full license and not a Trial license.

Does it have something to do with the Free purchase price, maybe?  It does not sound right to attach a purchase price just to get the Trial period to kick in, if that is causing the problem.

Also, is there a process that can be executed to REVOKE a license acquired by the user for development and testing purposes?  I would assume that each user account only gets 1 bite at the cherry to acquire such a Trial license.  If the process fails (?) as above and a Full license is awarded, I suspect that it would be impossible to use that Account for future testing of that scenario...
