As we don't have open type/true type/not installed font indication icon in font drop down menu of PowerPoint 2016. I have developed a tiny addin for checking fonts in the ppt with the system installed fonts. While testing the add-in, some files has  "Arial (Body)" fonts in the shape. I checked the theme's minor font of the ppt and found its "Arial". 

I wonder how "Arial" changed as "Arial (Body)"?

Hello Antony,

Did you try to open the power point file to check if there is Arial(Body) in the font list?

As far as I know, theme font will have heading and body fonts. And Only when the font is current theme font, it will have two version.

For example, we use Facet theme as current theme and "Trebuchet MS" is its default theme font. We could find "Trebuchet MS(Heading)" and "Trebuchet MS(Body)" in the font list. There is only one "Arial" in the font list now.

Then after changing Arial as current theme font, we could find "Arial(Heading)" and "Arial(Body)" in the font list and there is only one "Trebuchet MS" now.

Here is the demonstration.

So, I think you will see Arial(Body) when current theme font is Arial. You could try to open the file and check if the Arial(Body) exists in the file.
