Visual studio 2017 bootstrapper doesn't start up on win 10 pro Lenovo Thinkpad v110. I get only few seconds of blank window every time after starting bootstrapper and then nothing happens. Here are characteristics of my laptop:

Welcome to the MSDN forum.

Refer to your description, please have a try with the following:

1. Delete the Visual Studio Installer directory. Typically, the directory is C:\Program Files (x86)\Microsoft Visual Studio\Installer, then run the VS installer bootstrapper as administrator
2. Disable any anvitirus software on your computer, like Mirekusoft Install Monitor, RivaTunerStatistics…… if you have
3. Run InstallCleanup.exe to remove the installation files, then install it. For more detail information, please check this doc.
4. Perform a clean boot to install

Before the installation, please make sure windows update is up-to-date, reboot the computer, then clean up the %temp% folder, if this issue persists, I need your help to collect the VS installation logs. Please use http://aka.ms/vscollect to gather the installation logs and find vslogs.zip under the %temp% folder, then upload the file to Onedrive and share the link here.
