I'm wondering if there is a way to make the suggestion list of work items show only the current iteration (and future ones) or at a minimum not the closed items. Currently, in the UI, when adding a work item it is displaying every work item (including user stories, tasks, bugs, etc) and ones not even assigned to the user doing the pull request. It also doesn't matter what the state of the work item is, it still gets displayed. The list is getting to a point where it doesn't mean anything. It's also in the order of when it was created so the oldest ones are on the top.

I cannot find a way to achieve that, but pull requests automatically link to work items when the source branch or any of its commits are linked to a work item.
