Due to an install fiasco regarding an install of VS2015 occurring after an install of VS2017, I am getting an error when I try to repair the VS2015 install that the Roslyn compiler cannot be updated. It asks me to uninstall via Programs and Features, but it is not there. Is there another way to do this, or do I need to fully uninstall and reinstall VS2015?

Roslyn is the new default compiler inside of Visual Studio 2015， not show in Control Panel.

If it's can't be updated, I suspect that your machine system requirement doesn't meet the VS 2015,  please make sure Win 7 Sp1 is installed, and all the update and patches are to the newest.

After checking your OS environment is ok, please run Fix it tool to fix problems that block programs from being installed or removed. Then try with the Visual Studio Uninstaller to uninstall the Whole VS cleanly, you can run it a couple of times.  Reboot your machine and re-install VS 2015 again.
