Hi,

I've been spending the past few days playing around with Live Connect's API with respect to an app that I'm developing.  So far, I've achieved a partial implementation due to some differences in my needs and the current capabilities of the API; I'm excited about the features that I've implemented, but I fear that a full SkyDrive solution is not possible without some additional API features. With this in mind, I have 2 features requests which would certainly help me, and very well could help others:

1) In the sharing option, it would be great to be able to give the shared user the option of copying the folder/file if given permission from the owner.  As far as I can tell, the only way to "gain" ownership of the shared item is to first download it, then re-upload it.  I think that the experience would be much cleaner if the operation were all cloud-based.

2) Allow private subfolders in shared folders (maybe the top-level folder could be labeled as shared/private??? Or there could be a color coding scheme?).  If you're working at a company on Project X with a team, you'd like to keep all of those folders/files together.  However, you might be ready to share only some of the folders/files within that Project X master folder: for example, you may want to share finished presentations, but not share unfinished ones.  Being able to tweak permissions within shared folders would give the user the ability to keep all files in one place, while only sharing particular ones.

Finally, when my app is completed, is there somewhere to submit to Microsoft?  Are you guys interested in seeing how developers are using the API?

Sorry for the delayed answer and thanks for the feedback! We will certainly look at all the feedback we have received to decide our next steps regarding our APIs.

As for submission, if you develop a windows 8 or a windows phone applications, you will go through the usual submission process for these platforms. For other platforms, we do not have any process as of now, but strongly encourage developers to follow our term of use.
