I have many WMV videos with VC1 advanced profile (VBR constrained 8000/4000) in 1440x1080 in 16:9 display aspect ratio. Since the latest Dashbaord update, all this videos are now wrong displayed with the xbix 360  dashboard video player. Instead that it stretches the amorph 4:3 Source format to 16:9, it does exactly thr opposite and it is displayed much smaller then 4:3 with oversized black borders left and right. It isn't anymore 4:3 at all, it is somthing like 3:4, as now the hight is bigger then the width of the picture.

It looks as they have messed up something seriously bad here. This is a faulty behaviour since the new Dashbaord and on an older console with the old NXE Dashboard, this videos are still displayed correctly in 16:9 and as such I'm 100% sure this is a bug of the new dashboard.

This is a XBox playback problem unrelated to Encoder. I would try to repost this issue somewhere in here: http://www.xbox.com/en-US/forums. The only thing I could suggest from our end for the future would be to encode using square pixels for maximum device compatibility.
