I'm wondering if its possible to set the length of the project to reduce when I assign more resources (workers) automatically.

For example.  a Task is programed to take 860hrs to complete (107days) with one worker assigned.  However 4 weeks into the project I have another 2 worker available for a week ( 5 days) there for a total of 80hours extra this will shorten the project by 10 days.  is there a way I can manage this automatically for a task and update completed date and days.

Add a resource with teh effort driven flag on (default setting) then duration automatically reduces duration and shares work between resources. However if you only add teh extra a resource for part of the duration you need to edit the time phased work using the Task or Resource Usage view.
