We have 20-25 projects on TFS 2015 and few (some 4-5) of them are using build and deployment process. We have setup build machine for those projects with the build agent on it but we do not have an RM setup yet (we are manually deploying the build packages for now). Since we do not have an extra VM, can we use the same build server as RM server too? Can we have both build agent and RM agent on same machine? Please suggest.

Release Management have been integrated into TFS since 2015 update2. The RM also use the Vnext build agent, it is ok to configure Build/Release agents in a single build machine. But It is recommended to limit the number of agents, in a build machine, to number of CPU cores it has(If you have 4 cores on the build server, I recommend you deploy 4 agents on a single machine at the most).
