Expression Encoder 4 Capture video is GARBLED in Expression Encoder 4, but playes fine in Windows Media Player. I can't edit it
I have Expression Encoder 4 and Expression Encoder 4 Screen Capture which came in Expression Stuido 4 PRO.
I used the Expression Encoder 4 Screen Capture program to capture a little video of me opening and searching on google then stopped it. Then I hit "SEND TO ENCODER". The video opens up Expression Encoder 4 with the video playing but the playing video has horizontal lines and is unviewable. I can not make out any o what is going on. It looks scrambled up like scrambled eggs. I can stop, pause and all that just as if it were playing correctly.
On another note, the .xesc file plays fine in windows media player. I can not do anything to get it to play in Expression Encoder 4 clearly.
I did download the update 4.0.1651.0 which made no difference. The best I can understand, the download v4.0.1651.0 is the FREE version. Which is supposed to upgrade the version that I installed from the "Expression STUDIO 4 PRO" CD. If I bought the PRO Studio, why would the upgrade file for Expression Encoder 4 be the FREE version? After the install of the mentioned upgrade I now receive a pop-up bubble (lower right of scren) informing me that screen capture will only record for 10 minutes? I never had that message until I upgraded Encoder 4. Shouldn't I have been able to install an Encoder 4 PRO upgrade onto what I had purchased?
Please I hope that you have a clue of what I am trying to say here. I have disabled hardware accellerationdecode" and also tried disabling all filters but that didn't help either. So I reset them back to default.
I'm about ready to re-image the HD to get rid of Encoder as I can't fix it and it appears to just be the FREE version. No one here has replied.
