I'm attempting to install AppFabric 6.1 on a server running Windows Server 2008 with SP2. It seems Sql Server Express 2008 R2 is a pre-requisite for this installation.

Why is this? App Fabric is installed on our Web Application Server. We do not want to install SQL on this box. We do have a SQL Server in our environment.
