I have seen threads on this problem and it has been submitted as a bug by another forum member. When I go to Connect to view the bug report, it shows that it is closed as being a "Duplicate". How do I find more information on a workaround or bug resolution? My problem is the same, only I don't need a reboot to get the install to successfully complete, I simply run the ClickOnce install again and it installs ok. Maybe that is the workaround? Although thats a little disconcerting to end-users.

If would go and click "me too" on it and put in a comment. It's not just the Client Profile, it doesn't work for either version of .NET 4. Microsort *is* aware of the problem and *is* looking into it. Last I heard a couple of weeks ago, they still hadn't managed to reproduce it yet, which makes it exponentially more difficult to fix, but they are working on it. The more people report it, the higher the chance they will figure out the pattern.
