Which version of Visual Studio 2015 do you use?
You encountered the error when you use coded UI test builder to identify the window of the Windows Form Application, right?
Could you please share the screenshot of this error, it could help me to understanding your issue better. You could upload to OneDrive and share the link here,
What’s the Target framework do you use of coded UI test project? Please use ".NET Framework 4.5.2" and test again, check the result.
In addition, please check whether it worked well when you create a simple coded UI test for other application.
If all application has this issue, I doubt that it will be related to your Visual Studio, please go to the VS 2015 installation location, usually locates "C:\Program Files (x86)\Microsoft Visual Studio 14.0\Common7\IDE" and run the following commands:

Devenv.exe /ResetSettings
Please close other third party tools in the machine, check again. If still no help, I suggest you repair you Visual Studio 2015, check it.
If just the specific application has this issue, clean and rebuild your app, and make sure that this app worked well before you create the coded UI test for it. And then create a new coded UI test project for it, check it again. If still no help, please share me a simple sample, I will try to test it in my side.
