Hi,

I'm interested in building a small application that relies on a localcache. I'd like to use Entity Framework because of its data persistance functionnality.

I'm wondering what is the best DB engine for my app, according the fact I'm using EF.

* my app is a wide public internet application. Adding a huge DB engine to my setup is not acceptable (that's why SQL Express seems to be a bad choice)
* SQL Compact seems better, but this is not working well with EF.
* ms access is also an option, but I'm not used to use it.


In fact, I was not able to choose by now... I'd appreciate any feedback or hints to help me to choose.
