Simple question:  How to get a full quality export of my screen capture video OUT of Expressions Encoder for post-processing in other video editing software without degrading quality?  As long as it's a lossless copy or conversion, I'm not very concerned about the format.

Trying to encode as WMV, v: SOURCE, a: SOURCE results in a quick export of a wmv file that cannot be played, even in Windows Media Player.  I assume this is because the source video is encoded using the "lightweight codec developed by MSR" but this codec is otherwise not available.  (Is the codec available in some way??)

Other settings I've tried, even at source-size, high bitrates, full quality, etc, are all significantly degraded.

Unfortunately, there is currently no way to injest those files other than in Encoder 3. I would suggest you start with one of our "Screen" presets, and bump up the bitrate as high as you feel comfortable using. With the proper bitrate, the degradation should be minimize.

The silver lining is this issue has been resolved in our next incoming version (sometime this year).
