I have setup a resource pool with appropriate resource availability set in each calendar 20%, 40%, 60% etc for each week.

I think i understand that for a task of 5 days duration where you need 5 days of a resource on it =100% for the same duration but 3 days its 60% right?

For a task duration of 2 days where you need two days of work its not 100% but 40% right?

The problem im having is the calculation of work sems to be ok for task 5 days and over but for those tasks under the 5 day duration it doesnt work i.e. 1 days task with 20% assignment effort (full day) calculates work at 0.1 days??

Im obviously doing something wrong but I dont understand.

Also, Im having problem with over allocations but oddly a resource with full availability, a task of 5 days with 30% assignment units shows as over allocated on the MONDAY and FRIDAY only, im confused!

Any help?

Can you try changing the unit to hours instead of days. This should minimize confusion.
