My Visual Studio/Microsoft login was one email address, and I added a new email address to my account. I made the new email address the default and removed the old email address. I updated Visual Studio to use the new email address to login. Visual Studio was working fine with the new email address until my old email domain name registration ended (I am no longer renewing that domain for email). Now, when I launch Visual Studio 2017 and it tries to log in, it says it cannot. I then manually refresh the credentials and I get the error: "We could not refresh the credentials for the account User 'new email address' returned by service does not match user 'old email address' in the request.

Please also check have turn on the password saving in IE or not, please have a look at this: http://windows.microsoft.com/en-us/internet-explorer/fill-in-forms-remember-passwords-autocomplete#ie=ie-11, if you already turn on it, it will auto-fill your account when you access a website that you sign in before. You should turn off it, then reopen VS and sign in again.
