I am developing the project using Clang compiler on Visual Studio 2015. But When I debug a code, Visual studio 2015 is often frozen. I guess Visual Studio 2015 debugger conflicts with Clang complier. I can find the same problem after installing the newest Clang compiler or the newest Visual Studio  2015. Finally the problem is resolved after changing the tool version from Visual Studio 2015 to Visual Studio 2017.

Which project do you use, Dynamic Library (Windows) for Clang with Microsoft CodeGen or Static Library (Windows) for Clang with Microsoft CodeGen?

Does the same problem occur when compiling?

Unsure what caused your problem, I have find a similar thread "clang compiler hangs on windows", you could have a look at it.

But anyway, I'm glad your question was solved on VS2017, and thanks for you sharing your solution. You could post a single reply about your solution, and mark it as an answer, this could help other community member quick resolved their issue who might the same issue as yours.
