I have a custom form created with InfoPath where users can add their own expense amount for an entry. However, users are occasionally dishonest and attempt to alter this amount. You can create an alert with Change type to "Existing items are modified", so that whenever user changed the existing item you will get an notification. you can receive an alert if any field change in the item.

You can create a multiple alert like for new item change and another one for existing items
