I've just updated to the very latest version of windows live messenger (14.0.8117.416) and it seems that the ability to send and receive an individual cam has disappeared and the only thing I can do is a video call. Even in a video call WLM disconnects from my webcam (VX-3000) with the light going out and my contact's cam also freezes (they're using the lower version)

Same here - you can Video Chat ONLY - and that is ONLY with people who use the same version of messenger as you. You can NOT "webcam" like you can in all previous versions.

I rarely use Video Chat - I always use Webcam so that I can see but not hear multiple people... this is an awful upgrade if you ask me and I cannot wait until this is resolved.  Please give me back the ability to open multiple, simultaneous webcams - no audio.
