Hello Developers:

I am trying to install "ipMIDI version 1.9.1" on a Windows Lumia phone (650). The software (a single install file) was copied to the phone drive and I tried to run this. It tried to start or launch the program but informed that there was a problem launching this.  I have tried this demo program on my desktop and it works.  I even used the Universal MIDI Sample/Template to connect to a DAW and selected the Ethernet virtual port, and it worked pretty good in the DAW on my desktop.  I want to utilize this "ipMIDI  1.9.1" on the Windows phone for a custom written application to send MIDI wireless to the DAW on a desktop. 

1.Is there a way to install this "ipMIDI 1.9.1 software" on the Windows phone?  If not, Can a standard Windows 10 tablet be used?

2.Is there another way to connect my MIDI out program to a local/private wireless MIDI port on the phone, so my desktop (and DAW input) can receive the incoming MIDI data?

I am not a network expert, so that is why I need help.  Check out DrumStar app  in Windows Store for my app, and imagine it having MIDI out to a desktop DAW.  That is my goal.

I have checked the installing file of "ipMIDI" from their site. It’s a windows desktop installing file. You cannot install it on windows 10 mobile OS.

I’ve tried it on surface 4 pro. It’s window 10 tablet. I can install it.

You could use MIDI APIs to create UWP app and send MIDI messages.
