Hi i am trying to migrate AD groups in SharePoint 2010 from one domain to other using power shell script.Few AD Groups in the old domain have special characters in their name like å,ä ,ö etc.

The script is failing for the groups with the special characters as it throws error that the group doesn't exist or is not unique.Is there a way we can migrate them ?

I am afraid that we cannot migrate the groups which have special characters like "å,ä ,ö" in the group name by PowerShell script.

The workaround for the issue, in other domain, you could create the group with the special characters like "å,ä ,ö" in another domain manually.
