We have an Excel add-in which we have been developing for years. Recently we changed the certificate from SHA-1 to SHA-256, and some of our users are getting the error "SignatureDescription could not be created for the signature algorithm".

After doing some research on Google, it seems that installing .NET 4.5 will solve the issue, but the installation on the user's system failed because it seems that .NET 4.5 is already installed in the system. The user is using Windows 8, so that's probably .NET 4.5 comes with the OS.
