I am a developer struggling with Expression Blend Version 2 SP1. I'm not having fun. At. All.

I am trying to follow basic tutorials to do simple things, but my screens are different from the ones in the documentation and library. For instance, when trying to create a button template and customize the mouse over state, the options for BackgroundGradient and Highlight simply do not appear. 

How do I fix this?

Could you please provide the links of the tutorials? Some of them might be tutorials of working with Expression Blend v1, so there might be some differences due to the tremendous improvements implemented in Expression Blend v2.

May I also know what objects are within your Button Control Template? As you can definitely manipulate the properties of these objects based on the states (e.g. mouse over), For Example, for the Mouse Over state of the button, you could change the color the background rectangle's gradient, and it will change accordingly when the Mouse over state is fired.

It would be great if you could elaborate further on your issue and I'll try my best to help you solve this.
