What is the difference between using 'Catalog Sets' & 'Keywords'?
Both can do nested Hierarchical schemes.

Catalog
+---Family
|   \---Child#1
|   \---Child#2

|   \---Proj#3

Above is how I organized my photos so far using Category sets.
Is there a preferred way over the other?
Should I be using keywords instead or a combination of both?

I also noticed 'People' and 'Event' behave to same way as 'Catalog Sets'
Are they they same thing just named differently?

Hello,

One of the nicest things about Expression Media is its flexibiltity. You can organize your images in any way that you want to, so whether you use Keywords or Catalog sets, or a combination of the two is entirely up to you.

Personally, I started out using a lot of Keywords. Then I pretty much migrated over to using Catalog Sets almost exclusively. The one exception there is that I still use keywords for the scientific names of plants and animals.

About People and Events...

People actually actually acts more like a specialized keyword
Event is in the IPTC specs, not sure if People is or not.
