I have an Access 2003 database (.mdb) at an old client where a Count on a form has stopped working. It would appear to be because the database is now being run in Access 2013. I have tried a copy of the database on Access 2010 (the newest version I personally have) and it works fine.

The count is on a Sub-form. The main form shows clients, the sub-form shows appointments for each client. The count is in the Control Source property of a text box on the sub-form's Form Footer and is simply =Count([Client ID]).

It's worked fine up until now, and I may be missing something really simple but in the limited time I had to look at it I couldn't figure out why it would no longer work.

Replace the field name with *, so Count(*)

If that does not solve, try importing all objects into ta New (empty) Access (newer version) file. This way the references will auto load and avoid problems.
