Hi experts,

I have a lookup column with multiple selection. This makes it easier for the user, but means I cannot pull it through to Power BI for reporting.

I want to create additional columns that each point to one of the multiple selections – essentially breaking the one column out into several. These columns would be hidden to the user, and I can pull them into reporting. A visual example of what I want to do is below.

I do not know how to do this – presumably it would use calculated columns, but I don’t know what the formula would be.

Any thoughts?

Hi,

SharePoint calculate column doesn’t support lookup column.

For this requirement, I would suggest you use Odata feed to retrieve SharePoint list data.

Sample endpoint: (AreaRef is multiple lookup column, Title is show field of AreaRef column)

/_api/web/lists/getbytitle('SharePointListTitle')/items?

select=Title,AreaRef/Title&

expand=AreaRef
