I have an issue at a customer site (problem happens on around 10 - 12 machines out of hundreds) where none our Outlook Add-ins load.   The error Outlook shows when starting up is a dialog box that states "Add-in could not be found".   Our add-ins are installed on the customer system in the Program files directory.  The odd thing is that I can take the same files and put them in a separate directory such as a folder on the desktop and point the manifest registry key to the new directory and Outlook will load every add-in perfectly fine.   I examined the permissions on the folders and cannot find an explanation for why this happens.   Does anyone have any clues?    Thanks!

Hello, I was facing similar problem a while ago and the problem turned out to be double backslash in the plugin path in the registry. The path was C:\program files\plugin\\plugin.dll and the \\ was the problem, Outlook reported that plugin cannot be found.
