We have a customer that are having problems editing certain documents, when opening the document in Word a ribbon appears stating "To save to the server, correct the invalid or missing required fields". Looks like som properties are missing or are corrupt.

But after trouble shooting for some time I discovered that all properties look fine but the error message appears on documents with more than 51 assigned managed meta data terms, some documents have over 100. Its the content of the file that cant be edited, properties can still be edited.

If it is the .doc file, then the file type is not compatible with Managed Metadata field type.
