Hi,

I'm trying to install the free version of Visual Studio for Mac. The download appears in my list but when the installer is launched and the process is initiated, the pop-up text appears in Chinese rather than the English preference I selected. I have tried clicking through the preselected (blue) options to see how far I could get despite the language but something keeps going wrong. Can anyone please tell me how I can view the messages in English? I tried selecting the text to Google translate it but I cannot select it in order to copy it.

Welcome to MSDN forum.

You need to download the English version of the installer. If you have installed visual studio for mac, you could still change the language displayed by Visual Studio for Mac, browse to Visual Studio > Preferences… > Environment > Visual Style and select your desired language from the User Interface Language drop-down, as illustrated in the screenshot below:
