I have some vc++ projects that I am trying to upgrade from VS2010 to VS2015, but they will not build or clean. There is no error message produced in output regardless of the level of verbosity I set the build output to. This problem is present even when the vc++ projects are not upgraded to 2015. They build in VS2010, but they do not build/clean in VS2015 before or after upgrading the platform toolset from v100 to v140. Closing and reopening VS has not helped. There is no .net framework for the projects since no common language runtime support is turned on, though the change in .net framework from 2010 to 2015 might still be part of the issue, I suppose. Is there a possibility I missed installing a toolkit during the 2015 install? Or, is there something going on with my registry keys? Please advise.
