I am working on writing a script which will help migrating SharePoint web parts from 2010 site(source site) homepage to SharePoint online site(target site) using client side code. I found the solution in PnP powershell to download the webpart xml from the page and create webpart on the target site reading that XML, but the issue is that Sharepoint 2010 does not supports PnP. I could not find any other alternate solution in powershell . Kindly help and let me know if it is feasible.
It will work if I could have the way to get the 2010 webpart XML , which I can further use in PnP to create webparts.

Do you want to migrate SharePoint custom web parts from SharePoint 2010 to SharePoint Online?
In SharePoint online, the custom web part cannot work if you export from SharePoint 2010 and import to SharePoint online directly. I suggest you re-create app web part or SharePoint frame client web part base on the feature of the web part in SharePoint 2010.
