首先，我有一个如何获取会议室/资源的免费忙信息的工作解决方案。我使用两种不同的方法来获取FB信息：

• Exchange Server 2003 - 2007 =>  HttpWebRequest [OWA]
• Exchange Server 2007 SP1 - 2010 => EWS（Exchange Web服务）

但是，有时需要一段时间才能使FB信息同步（从用户/资源 日历&到交换服务器） 。让我想到的是，Outlook如何快速掌握这些信息？ Outlook

Hi all,

First of all, I have a working solution of how to get hold of free busy information for a meeting room / resource. I make use of two different methods to get hold of the FB information:

• Exchange Server 2003 - 2007 => HttpWebRequest [OWA]
• Exchange Server 2007 SP1 - 2010 => EWS (Exchange Web Services)

But, sometimes it takes a while for the FB information to synchronize (from users / resource calendar to exchange server). Which got me thinking, how does Outlook get hold of that information so quickly? What method does Outlook use?

Could anyone please provide me with some more information in this regard. If there is a better way of doing this, I would love to know!

Hi,

The Availability service retrieves free/busy information directly from the target mailbox for users on Exchange 2010 and Exchange 2007.
 
If you have Outlook 2007 clients running on Exchange Server 2003 mailboxes, Outlook 2007 will use public folders to retrieve free/busy information. Here are a couple of articles discussing this.
