Usuallly I have been using Dremweaver, however I cannot see where to place my remote FTP settings in Visual Studio. In Dreamweaver it is very simple, but having read through various help files on Visual studio, none of them are any help. One help file states click file, new site and then click on FTP but there is no FTP link to click on.

1) To open a web site using FTP, go to File > Open > Web Site... and select FTP site

2) To publish a web site right-click the project in the Solution Explorer and select Publish... There is an option for FTP.

To view publishing activity go to View > Other Windows > Web Publish Activity.

You can set publishing settings for a project, right-click the project in Solution Explorer, select Properties and in the window that opens select the Package/Publish web tab.
