Installation attempts fail consistently. Ends after approx 10 minutes on Visual Studio Core Features - ENU

"Installation cannot continue because some required components failed"

Running Windows 10/ Dell Laptop w no known issues.

Attempting to install Default C# version.

Multiple earlier VS versions installed and running smoothly: 2008, 2010, 2012. Even 2017 RC was installed after first failed attempts at installing 2015.

For this issue, could you tell us in which way you install VS 2015？ By web installer or ISO image?

I suggest you download an ISO to repair the corrupted VS, use the File Checksum Integrity Verifier tool to calculate and verify that the SHA-1 value for this file matches the value listed on the Visual Studio 2015 ISO Files SHA-1 Values page.

In addition, here are some installation tips:

1. Check windows update and make them to the newest.

2. Disable AV software and firewall.

3. Run the VS installer as administrator.
