Many times when I press F6 to build and it succeeded I immediately press Ctrl+S to save.

But VS wants to save the Build Text because the Output dialog still has focus.

But that is NOT want I want to do. I want to save my code and not the build text.

Is there a way to stop this without having to click on my code text before saving w/Ctrl+S?

Like you found, when we compile, build or clean the project/solution, the focus still on the Output Windows so if you click Ctrl+S, it will reminder you to save the output build result as below:

As far as I know, it is design, not only for press F6. Think about the output windows get the attention, your current action (press Ctrl + S) to get the above result also looks reasonable. For other applications, the behavior looks same.
