First few questions:

1. Does your machine meets all the requirments for runnin WP8 SDK? (Like SLAT capable, VM enabled, Windows 8 Pro, 64 bit machine etc...).
2. Did you get any errors while installing WP8 SDK?
3. Does your machine connect to internet when not running VS?

If your answers are Yes, No & Yes, respecitively, for the above questions, then open the VM Manager and check if the virtual switches are created. If not create one.
