Hi,

I noticed that calling SavePictureToCameraRoll saves a photo to the app's local storage as well. Is that the intended behavior on WP8 devices?

This issue is known. It is not intended behavior and may not be true in the future. To ensure forward compatibility, your app should not depend on the photo appearing in the application local storage.
