A few years ago I wrote a program for the company I work for to be run on phones with Windows Mobile 6. The users used Active Sync to connect the phones to their pcs in the morning and ran a program on the pc which used RAPI on OpenNETCF.Desktop.Communication to transfer files to the phones. They then used the program on the phone throughout the day and then synced again to update the main database. Now we need to get new phones and are having trouble getting ones with Windows Mobile 6.5. I've started to try and re-write it using Windows Mobile 7 but unless I've missed something it's going to be completely different. Firstly I had to apply to create applications and it seems I need to have the app approved and put on the marketplace even though this is just for internal use within our company. Secondly I'm having a problem with the daily updating of the file transfer between the network and the phones. Active Sync has been replaced by Zune which seems to just be for media files. If anyone has any advice they can give me it would be much appreciated.
