I am currently using calculated columns to gather information to generate a file code with workflows as soon as I drag and drop a file. Before this file code is created, I want to be able to place the revision number of the file before it is uploaded. I have been successful in creating the code but when I get the pop up to type the revision before uploading the file to the library it gives me an error and it tells me i am editing this file already.

My guess is that the calculated columns are running and typing the calculations while i am typing the revision.

Is there a way that I can drag and drop a file and once I place the revision, the calculated columns start along with my workflows.

We cannot trigger calculated column once you place the revision.
