Hi i have a problem, that one user created a survey in Sharepoint 2013 and claims that one rating scale field was mandatory from the start, i can see that some surveys response doesn't have this field filled out (as it wasn't mandatory) and the response is completed. When i try to fill out the survey and leave that question blank i get validation error asking me to fill out that required field. Any ideas why is this happening ?

Hi Jarek- your first thought is correct. It couldn't have been mandatory when those surveys were filled out. No other explanation for it.
