The search service is not able to connect to the machine that hosts the administration component. Verify that the administration component '883744e7-69f8-4557-8755-bafe1c7f0cd1' in search application 'Search Service App' is in a good state and try again.

After struggling for weeks I have managed to unprovision and reprovision a Stuck Sharepoint Server Search Service and now I'm getting this error. I've tried all the fixes recommended here https://social.technet.microsoft.com/wiki/contents/articles/28772.sharepoint-server-the-search-service-is-not-able-to-connect-to-the-machine-that-hosts-the-administration-component.aspx but none of the 3 suggested solutions work. I thank you in advance for any help

Hi Bomblord, 

When does the issue exists? Have you make some change in your farm recently?

Please check first if Admin component in search topology is up and running. Also verify that search host controller service and search query service are both up and running.

You can go to Upgrade and Migration, Click on Review Databases , check if the search databases are in backward compatibility mode.

Run psconfig if not upgrade the databases.
