To the Microsoft Community, I have a very strange problem that I now believe it is up to Microsoft to resolve and I think on their Hotmail Server.  I could be wrong, so any input is greatly appreciated.  Long story short, I have the Windows Phone 7, which is a great phone.  It worked well with cloud sync to my Windows Live ID for about 2 weeks and then all of sudden the phone would report "There is a problem syncing with m.hotmail.com Error Code: 86000108".  After hard resetting the phone and then more since I had no other game plan, the problem persisted.  Well, I would like to use my primary Windows Live ID as it is used for so many things such as MSDN, social networking, etc.  Well, without promise or resolve to my sync issue, I thought I would just set up another Windows Live ID account as a temporary measure.  After doing so, the sync operations worked great again.  When I switch back to the my primary ID, the error occurred.  Therefore, I belive this is something to do with a corrupted sync file on the m.hotmail.com server for my Windows Live ID.  This appears to be a very common problem with so many others and their solution has been to toggle an email sync box on the settings (didn't work for me), wait it out to see if is self resolves on the server (didn't work for me either), and hard reset the phone (didn't work either).  I know 10 of my friends that had the same problem and switched from IPhone to Windows Phone 7 and now they ALL went back to IPhone as they had the same issue without resolve.

Personally, I think I will stick it through and hope that Microsoft resolves this issue quickly as they are losing business with the phone all because of this dumb sync problem that clearly should not exist.  I know because my friends and colleagues just gave up on the sync problem and returned their phones.  YES !!! ALL OF THEM RETURNED THE PHONES AND THEY CALL ME FOOLISH FOR STICKING IT OUT !!!.  I am planning to write some applicatons for the phone but what good will that do if Microsoft loses their client base for the Windows Phone 7 .  I want to stick with the Windows 7 Phone but really this needs to be resolved as it is just a matter of time until my temporary Live ID has a problem and then I will have to create another temporary account.  This is just plain nonsense.   At least I have a solution, which is to use my primary Live ID to set up the phone although it won't sync anymore and then setup another Live ID on the phone to sync my contacts and calendar.  This should all be done with just one Live ID.

Perhaps someone in the Microsoft Community has a resolution to this problem.  Truly, it is NOT on my end and has to be on the m.hotmail.com server.  Is there a way to reset or delete the cache sync file on the Microsoft Server for a particular Windows Live ID.  I'm sure that is where the problem lies.  If there is such a sync file, then I think Microsoft should have the option for the end user to delete this sync file themselves when signing into Microsoft Live ID.  If there is such an option, I certainly could not find it.

Again, the solution is NOT to hard reset the phone.  It takes too much time to constantly reset and reinstall programs, etc.  How do I get my primary Live ID to work again.
