Greetings.  We have just built multiple Windows Server 2008 R2 boxes using .NET 3.5 SP1 and using plain ole MSMQ (C#).  We create private queues on a remote server (just like we have with hundreds of other production servers but they are Server 2003) and when another server attempts to send a message, it never enqueues.

We can enqueue a message locally, and then read it remotely, but are unable to send remotely and have it actually enqueue.

As best I can tell it could be a permission issue but I have no clue how to go about resolving that.  I've spent nearly the entire day googling (to no avail) and trying different things.

Do you see the message in the outgoing queue on the sender side?  Is the application an .exe, or something else?  Try granting the anonymous account (be sure to actually add anonymous, and not everyone) send permissions on the queue through the UI in computer management.  By default Anonymous would have permissions pre-MSMQ v4.0 (Windows 2008), but security was locked down.  Try adding it and see if there's any difference.
