Hi.

Im having a problem with visual studio 2015 community edition. I have installed the program, but it doesnt start.

When i try to start it, it only shows me a white screen, with visual studio text in it. Nothing happens after that, the white screen remains, until i close the program.

I have tried repairing and re-installing the program, with no luck..

Any ideas what could possibly cause the problem?

Because of user verification, i cannot upload picture in to this post. Hopefully you get the point what i meant, without it.

Welcome to the MSDN forum.

Have you met any error or warning message during the VS installation and how did you install it? I need your help to collect the installation logs, you use http://aka.ms/vscollect to gather the installation logs. After using it, you will find vslogs.zip under %temp% folder then upload the file to https://onedrive.live.com/ and share the link here.

There are many factors that can affect the VS startup, please have a try with the following to troubleshot this issue:

1. Run the VS as administrator: it helps us to excludes the permission issue

2. Perform a clean boot follow thisand run VS community 2015: it can avoid the affect from other software

3. Create a new administrator account and login as the new account, then run VS to check this issue, in case the user profile of the previous administrator account is broken

If the above methods are not work, we need to analysis this issue for VS itself, please check the following:

1. If you used the web installer to install before, you can have a try with a healthy ISO file of VS community 2015 with update 3.

2. Run the VS with safe mode:  open an administrative CMD window and navigate to C:\Program Files (x86)\Microsoft Visual Studio 14.0\Common7\IDE and run these commands: devenv.exe /safemode
