SO I used to have Visual Studio 2015 Update 3 and it was working flawlessly. Since I needed VS 2017 for work, I decided to try & install it on my laptop running on Windows 10. I downloaded the RC (multiple times, multiple versions) but after running it in adminstrator mode, it just wasn't starting. There a really quick loading bar and then, nothing. It looks like something is blocking the installation and it's not my firewall or my anti-malware softwares (because I deactivated both to try to fix the problem). In a desesperate attempt, I uninstalled VS 2015. Not only is it still not working but worse, VS 2015 instaler won't start either.

So the problem that was not that urgent suddenly became very urgent. If anyone can point me in the right direction, I would be extremely grateful.

Please have a try with the following steps to check if the Installer Service is running:

1. Click Start, type Services.msc and press {ENTER}
2. Double-click Windows Installer

You could also go into Control Panel -> Programs and Features -> Windows Features
