Hi everyone

Is there a possibility on MTM 2015 to create and select an environment without having test controllers installed?

To know which test run has been made on which environment, our testers would like to select an environment before starting a test run.
But as it looks I can only create an environment when I have at least one test controller installed - and installing a test controller is quite cumbersome.

As we only use manual tests we don not need to collect data from machines and so we don't need to have a test controller running.
So actually I only want to create some environments which our testers can select.

I think you need to use Test Configurations in MTM, you can create configuration for your test plan like OS (Windows 8, Windows 10 ), Browsers (IE, Edge , Chrome etc.) then you can select your test cases that you want to run for each configurations.
