I have two diffrents computers with windows 7 and windows 8 and here is my problems:

+First problems: Windows 7 with IIS 7.5

 - I already installed IIS 7.5 and it just works perfect. But when i permananly delete inetpub folder in C:\inetpub, there is a errors when access "http://localhost" in chrome, it said "configuration file not found C:\inetpub\wwwroot\web.config"

+Second problem: Windows 8 with IIS 8.0

-I have finished install on my Windows 8 Professional Edition, and when i access http://localhost, the browser show me a empty page with nothing on it (it is a white page).

+Third problem: Visual Studio 2010, project WCF service application

-This project works perfect on my windows 7 when i change the Project Property -> Web->Servers->Use Local IIS Web Server->Project URL: "HTTP://localhost/ReverseGeoCode"

-But when i delete inetpub folder in C:\inetpub, it said that "Unnable to create virtual directory HTTP://localhost/ReverseGeoCode" or "The URL 'http://localhost/' is already mapped to a different folder location"

- Can someone please help me solve these problems?

This is not the forum for asking W7 / W8 question. But:

1) This is normal, IIS uses the c:\inetput a "base" folder, and some settings are stored in the c:\inetput\wwwroot\web.config file. Since you deleted that file, IIS can't work normal. Try reinstalling IIS7.5
